Creating a Cash Register in Aurore ERP

After creating and assigning a collaborator with cashier privileges, the next step is to create a cash register (also referred to as a cash box) that will be used for counter sales.

Step 1: Navigate to the Cash Register Section

To create a cash register:

  1. Go to the Structure menu.
  2. Select Cash.

Step 2: Create a New Cash Register

Click on “New” to begin creating a cash register.

  • Label: For example, name it Cash 1.
  • Warehouse: Choose the corresponding warehouse. In this example, it’s the Main Warehouse (main depot).
  • Default Customer: Select the Counter Sales Customer you previously created. This customer must be enabled for counter sales.
  • Ledger Code (optional): You can select a placeholder code like Case Local. This field is not mandatory and can be skipped.

Once all required information is filled in, click Save.

Step 3: Assign a Cashier to the Cash Register

After saving, you will be redirected to the previous windows where you see the list of cash register created. select the newly created cash register and click Open to access additional configuration tabs.

  1. Go to the Cashier tab.
  2. Click Affect to assign a cashier.
  3. From the list of available collaborators with cashier rights, select the appropriate one—for example, Amanda, the cashier we created earlier.
  4. Click Open to assign the cashier.

Now, the selected cashier is linked to the cash register and can perform sales operations through it.

Click OK to confirm and complete the setup.
